Oksana: There are 30 more tapes!

What can those folks expect from Gibson's amazingly talented mouth in coming weeks? Well...according to EOnline and RadarOnline, it seems like there's 30 more tapes that Oksana had recorded and has yet to be released! So there will be more tapes leaking in the coming weeks!

We already know about the very latest Gibson rant, a sort of marathon that—reportedly—involved 30 calls to Grigorieva in a single night. (RadarOnline has all the nastiest bits up on its site, along with all the other tirades thus far.) But don't be shocked if there's still more to come.

"The exact number of recordings has not been released or reported yet," David Perel, founder and executive vice president of RadarOnline.com, tells EOnline. "Obviously, RadarOnline.com has quite a few audio tapes and yes, we do have more. We will be posting them on the site as we continue to report on the Mel Gibson story."

The Reason Why Lindsay Lohan Get to Keep Her Hair Extensions in Jail

The only way Lindsay Lohan's going to lose her weave at this point is if she's involved in one of those women's prison exercise-yard fights.

But in case you were wondering why the actress was allowed to be locked up with her hair extensions intact, while jailhouse rules mandate that no detachable locks are allowed, we have the answer for you.

"They are sewn into her scalp and are bonded by glue so anybody like that—and there are women who come in with those type of hair extensions—we don't remove them," L.A. County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells E! News.

"There is no reason to do it. We only take them off if they snap off or if it is a wig."

Otherwise, her "hair" would have been confiscated along with the rest of her personal items (money, sunglasses, etc.) when she surrendered.

Meanwhile, breaking up the monotony of her day Tuesday was Lohan's Inferno costar Jason Dottley, who told E! News after visiting the starlet that he was "petrified just being in the facility."

"I can't imagine that anyone in jail could be doing ‘well,'" he said, calling Lohan's surroundings "heartbreaking." But "Lindsay will come out of this stronger than before, and I can't wait for her to prove to the world that her talent will prevail and that her day in Hollywood has yet to come."

Well, the makers of Inferno certainly hope so.

According to Century Regional Detention Facility's visitation rules, Lohan's only allowed two half-hour visits from friends or family per weekend (or, in her case, per week). And since Dina and Ali Lohan have already made their weekly pilgrimage, apparently Lindsay's done receiving guests who aren't her lawyer for the rest of her stay.

Officials have maintained throughout Lohan's jail time, which could end as early as Sunday, that she has not been given preferential treatment.

Openly Gay Director Still "Distracted" By Openly Gay Actors Playing Straight

By Greg Hernandez

When it comes to a male actor deciding to come out of the closet, the conventional wisdom is that it will ruin his chances of ever being a big movie star – especially if he wants those coveted romantic leading men roles.
If the audience knows the guy is gay, apparently it will kill the fantasy and no one will want to buy tickets.
We hear it time and time again from the Hollywood power players and creative folks – both gay and straight – and we heard it again over the weekend at the Outfest Film Festival during a panel called Coming Out in Hollywood.
You wonder though, how do they know? Has it ever been tested? Have we ever had a major studio film flop because an openly gay actor had the romantic lead role?

I’d love to see , for example, what would have happened if the red-hot Neil Patrick Harris had the Tom Cruise role in Knight & Day. Might it have made more than the paltry $70 million it has taken in so far domestically?
Maybe. Maybe not.
We don’t know because it has never really been tried as far as I know.
But it’s hard to change things when an openly gay writer-director such as Don Roos (The Opposite of Sex, Bounce, Happy Endings) has issues with gays playing straight and vice-versa.
“I think the relationship between an audience and an actor is a very complicated thing, especially in a romantic lead,” Roos said during the panel discussion. “When you’re in a movie theater, what’s on the screen isn’t necessarily appealing to your best instincts. Most of the audience is going to be homophobic, they’re mostly violent in their hearts and that’s what they’re responding to on the screen and you can’t wait to have a career until the audience is not homophobic. That’s never going to happen. … In a romantic role, it can be very distracting for the audience to not be able to give themselves to a particular character. Like when I was watching Philadelphia — I knew [Tom Hanks] was straight.”

Roos has directed such actors as Ben Affleck, Gwyneth Paltrow, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Tom Arnold, Lisa Kudrow, Christina Ricci, Lyle Lovett, Jason Ritter, Laura Dern and several other people who are quite well-known, not exactly blank slates in the minds of the public.
It makes me wonder if knowing that Affleck and Paltrow are straight was a distraction in Bounce.
“I think everybody should be out to their circle but it’s more difficult if you’re a romantic lead,” Roos said at the Outfest event. “It would be hard for me to cast Natalie Portman as a woman rancher because she’s this crazy vegan. I want to not have conversations about is he gay or is he not gay; I want to know as little as possible.”

I wanted to publicly ask Roos to expand on this topic but could not manage to get called on by the moderator.

So I talked to Don face-to-face after the panel and we started by talking about his problems with Hanks and his Oscar-winning performance as a gay man with AIDS fighting being fired from his job in 1993′s Philadelphia.
“I kept feeling distracted knowing that he wasn’t really gay,” Roos told me. “I was admiring him and thinking, ‘Oh my God, how well he’s playing that.’ The more I know about any actor about anything, the more distracting it is.”
“I’m just saying in general, the more I know about an actor and his personal life and his personal beliefs, the less useful it is to me as a director. Sometimes I’m distracted because I’m mad that it isn’t a gay actor playing that role. Whatever your political thing is, it interferes with the storytelling.”
More specifically, if an actor were gay in a straight role, he admits he might be similarly distracted. But then he said: “I saw Sean [Hayes] on Broadway [in Promises, Promises] and the only distraction was that I sometimes saw the character that he played on Will & Grace but I totally bought him as a straight guy.”
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4l4vhtRYtdfBUpaUuDZdz7pvF_8FKSmXw5a3Mhah3DabGm4V-6wG2wpOZ51a02xKWE6Mb6ajDqJZKqmqGSMWXdZFZBa8AKPBCv3YfE5Ui3YTTSEeqg2sXYOwpdWLjOxMj-W_bRnr0GVY/s320/tn-500_p1.jpg

Now I was really confused and asked: “Would you cast an openly gay actor as a romantic lead in a straight role? Would you be the one to do it?”
Roos: “That’s hypothetical. It would really depend.”
“Cheyenne Jackson?” I suggested.
Roos: “I would have to know what the part is.”
So he’s open to it?
“Oh, I’m open to it, absolutely. What I’m talking about in a more general sense is only romantic leads. That’s a relationship they can have with the audience that it’s distracting whatever they know about you.”
He’s still got the romantic leading man block but, thankfully, he is not willing to make some kind of blanket rule about not casting gays as straight and straight as gay.
“As a director, as a casting person … if someone comes in and you fall in love with them, you don’t care anything about them … if they embody what your vision is, you go for them. … I think sometimes it’s a little hurdle for the audience but if I love the guy, I’m willing to take my chances. My films are all very counter-culture films anyway, it doesn’t really matter in my world.”

Much more clear during the panel were the feelings of openly gay actor Jonathan Slavin who most recently was a regular on the ABC sitcom Better off Ted. He thinks it is time for someone in a position of power to make the leap of casting a gay actor in a major movie lead.
“Don’t you think that there were people who said to Sidney Poitier that an audience is never going to accept a black man as the lead of a film?” he said during the panel. “At a certain point, you have to just cast (gay actors) and grab the reins and move forward and see what happens. It is about taking risks and taking risks and not waiting until it’s safe. We’re accommodating a narrow-minded mentality. "

Lindsay Lohan -- Fine Dining Behind Bars

It may not be Katsuya, but Lindsay Lohan has a delicious dinner in store on her first night in jail.

Our jailhouse mole tells TMZ Turkey Tetrazzini is on the menu tonight. Actually, it's the only option. For those who aren't familiar, it's a turkey casserole with noodles, mushrooms and cream sauce.

And there are sides -- Applesauce, broccoli coleslaw and wheat bread. And there's also milk to wash it all down.

At the end of 'Inception,' Cobb was: Awake or Dreaming?

Pretty sure the headline makes it clear enough, but I’m gonna go ahead and slap a big ol’ SPOILER ALERT on this one anyway, because some people are too busy to actually read headlines. But yes, for those who haven’t seen Inception yet: First off, do so, because it’s a blast and definitely a “worth seeing in the theaters” pic with all the collapsing cities-type effects and such. Secondly, avert your eye, because I wanna talk about that last scene.

My first reaction when the movie ended and that damn top was still spinning was a chuckle (most every one else in my theater seemed to prefer a groan). What a pain in the ass, I thought lovingly of director Chris Nolan, for teasing us. I mean, OF COURSE Leo’s character got home. He woke up on the plane with the rest of the gang, went through customs, got to the house, and the kids finally turned around – something that did not, seemingly COULD not happen in his dreams. Ever. So what if the top kept spinning. It was just Nolan having a little fun with us. It even started to wobble there at the end, right? It was just a matter of time, a technicality. It probably fell the moment the screen went black.

But as I got up to leave the theater, I realized I wasn’t going to be able to stick with that explanation for long. Because it DIDN’T fall before the screen went black. We never saw it topple. It was still spinning, so there is no way we know for certain it was reality and not Cobb stuck in a new dimension of his subconscious, this time not with Mal but with his smiling kids. In retrospect, the final minutes wrapped up really quickly and perfectly. After the moment of tension at the first customs stop, Cobb breezed through the rest of the airport, met up with Miles who, without much chit-chat at all, led him straight to the kids, who were outside playing in the same position as in the dreams (Were they also wearing the same clothes as in the dreams? Were they the same age? How long had he been away?), and quickly turned around and jumped up into their daddy’s arms. Sure, it could’ve just been a tidy dénouement. No real dialogue or additional tension was required. Saito put in the call as he said he would, Miles was notified to pick up Cobb at the airport, done and done. But still, I kept thinking, as I walked out of that theater, that it all seemed a lot like a “dream come true,” devoid of any of the nuance and hiccups that clog up reality.

What’s more, Cobb didn’t even wait around to see for himself if his totem would fall. He rushed off to be with the kids. It was as if he didn’t care — he wanted to live that reality whether in dream or consciousness. Maybe he came back 10 minutes later and spun it again. And maybe it fell. Or maybe there’s a sequel coming.

I loved this movie with or without that final wrinkle. That top could’ve fallen the split second before the screen went to black and I’d have been just as happy with it. Yet, I can’t help but obsess over the fact that it was a mystery left for us to discuss. So PopWatchers, over to you: Was Cobb dreaming or did he finally find a way home?

Bieber's 'Baby' is most-watched video on YouTube

Justin Bieber's music video for "Baby" is the most-watched video ever on YouTube.

The 16-year-old pop star's video passed Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" video to take the all-time lead. More than 246 million have watched Bieber's video on the Google Inc.-owned website.

Bieber's video and Lady Gaga's switched positions briefly Friday, but as of late afternoon, Bieber was ahead by more than 600,000 views.

The most-watched clip on YouTube that isn't a music video is the popular "Charlie bit my finger" viral video, which more than 210 million have watched.

Mel Gibson tape 5 Leaks!

Ugh, now there are five. You can spend nearly 30 minutes listening to five separate recordings of Mel Gibson purportedly raging against ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva on Radar Online. It’s almost like Radar isn’t even a proper noun anymore — this is literally the radar. “What’s on the Radar today? Another Mel Gibson tape, of course.”

Radar’s decision to release these one-by-one seems increasingly bizarre. (An editor for the site claims that the audio came from a third party, not Grigorieva herself.) It’s beginning to feel like a record company “dropping” albums. Vol. 1: The N Word, Vol. 2: A Time to Kill, Vol. 3: The Nanny Diaries, Vol. 4: Burning Down the House, and now Vol. 5: Gold Digger. I’m not trying to be flip but to make the point that this step-by-step rollout seems more like the work of a publicist for a mysterious entertainer. The saddest part is, if you’re still listening, fatigue is likely setting in, and the impact is lessening. The tapes are still in every way terrible, but due to the sheer repetition, they’re also becoming sort of mundane. You can’t help but become desensitized to something that happens every day. And unfortunately, the public’s chief reaction to these tapes is shifting from disbelief a couple days ago over the horrible content to disbelief today that there’s ANOTHER one???

BREAKING NEWS: LINDSAY ENTERS REHAB!

Lindsay Lohan is apparently trying to blunt her 90 day jail sentence by moving in to a sober living house.

Lohan was spotted entering a facility in West Hollywood yesterday afternoon. Lohan's mother, sister and Sam Ronson were seen at the facility later that day.

As we first reported, attorney Robert Shapiro has been hired to help Lindsay either reduce or eliminate her jail sentence.

TMZ broke the story ... Shapiro is trying to push rehab immediately hoping it will satisfy Judge Marsha Revel.

Part of Lindsay's sentence was to check into rehab for 90 days after serving the jail time, but this appears to be an example of putting the cart before the horse.

UPDATE #2: Her mom Dina, sister Ali and ex-girlfriend Sam Ronson visiting her!

UPDATE #3: Michael Lohan On Lindsay Going To Rehab: "FINALLY"

"Why is that I had to cry from the mountain for Lindsay to listen to me, and now finally she is doing what I said? None of this would have happened, if Lindsay and Dina had. I was telling Dina and Lindsay this PRIVATELY for years now. I just pray that they implement everything else I said, like getting clean off ALL meds, asking the court to go to rehab first and then reevaluate Lindsay's incarceration, cleaning house and picking ALL new friends and management, and FINALLY that DINA put her motives aside and she go to counseling with Lindsay and me. I think Mr Shapiro will agree with my suggestions, since unfortunately, he has been down this road as well."

UPDATE #4:

Apparently it has been confirmed (?) that Lindsay Lohan spent her first night in rehab last night -- at attorney Robert Shapiro's rehabilitation facility Pickford Lofts. The sober living house was started by the famed OJ Simpson attorney after he lost his son Brent to the disease of chemical dependence in 2005.

Lindsay was visited yesterday by her mom Dina, sister Ali, her ex Samantha Ronson, her assistant Eleanor, and her rumored-to-be new girlfriend Eilat Anschel. Eleanor brought in pillows and bags from Blick art supply, a case of Sprite and toilet paper. Sam showed up around 10 pm and stayed for 45 minutes.

Her evaluation in rehab may influence the date she will have to serve her sentence in jail (currently July 20) and for how long she will have to do it (currently 90 days). There are a lot of factors that can now influence her current jail sentence in case they prove jail is not good for her health problems and for her to get better.

UPDATE #5: Lindsay Lohan: Late Night Rehab Visit

It appears Lindsay Lohan made a late night visit to a rehab facility in Los Angeles.

Hollywood.tv has footage of the troubled starlet's mother, Dina Lohan, an assistant and friend Samantha Ronson. According to the photo agency, Lindsay was already at the facility when her friends and family arrived carrying food, pillows, blankets and laptops.

The sober living facility is owned by high-profile attorney Robert Shapiro.

Will Britney Spears help Mel Gibson as he helped her?

When Britney Spears was in the midst of a mental breakdown in May 2008, a few months after she was hospitalized on psychiatric hold, Mel Gibson was one of the few celebrities who reached out and tried to guide the pop princess on the road to recovery.

Gibson and his then-wife Robin took Spears and her father Jamie for a recuperating getaway to their home in Costa Rica, and prior to that, the “What Women Want” star was spotted dining with Spears at a Russian restaurant in Studio City.

The two stars were neighbors back when the pop princess lived in Malibu, Calif. and Gibson felt it necessary to do all he could to assist her.

So now that the tables have turned, might Spears, 28, return the favor, as she is successfully moving forward with her life while Gibson’s seems to be falling apart?

A rep for Spears did not respond for comment, and sources close to her told Pop Tarts that she is yet to make mention of the current Mel Gibson controversy, centered on a string of leaked tapes in which the actor embarks on profanity-driven, racist, sexist, and threatening rhapsodies toward his former flame, Oksana Grigorieva.

But Gibson can go to sleep at night knowing at least one high-profile person has his back.

On Tuesday Whoopi Goldberg defended the controversial actor’s use of the “N word” and insisted that she has known him a long time and that he isn’t racist. And although Goldberg also referred to Gibson as her “friend,” perhaps he doesn’t quite reciprocate the feelings.

“That’s why I’m so f***ing angry, because I don’t have any friends,” Gibson screamed through the phone to Grigorieva in one of the leaked tapes. “I tried to make one in you, and you treat me like s**t."

Another injury for SYTYCD

'SYTYCD': Ashley Galvan injured, placed in Bottom 3

Another dancer down! Another dancer down!

"So You Think You Can Dance" is racking up the injuries, and Ashley Galvan is the latest casualty, sitting out from the Wednesday, July 14 performance show.

With the opening sequence done, it's apparent that only six of the Top 7 dancers are present.

Host Cat Deeley informs the audience that after Galvan's rehearsals on Monday (July 12), she was experiencing severe rib pains and that doctors advised her not to dance this week. She was scheduled to dance with all-star Pasha Kovalev and fellow contestant Robert Roldan.

As with Alex Wong the week before who was also sidelined with an injury, she'll be automatically placed in the Bottom 3. If an injury is so severe that a dancer needs more than a week off, they'll have to leave the show.

Let's review. All-star Allison Holker had to sit out one week for a floating rib injury, but returned to work. Wong's Achilles tendon ruptured, and thus he had to be eliminated. He underwent surgery Monday and in a video, thanks the fans for his support.

We'd hate for Galvan to be out of the running. Not only has she been dancing excellently, but she's only one of two girls left.

With the injuries piling up, maybe it's time to reevaluate the toll this show takes on the dancers. Learning two or more routines a week in different genres that one's body may not be used to could just be too difficult.

Plagiarism lawsuita against Harry Potter

A plagiarism lawsuit against Harry Potter author Jk Rowling has been extended to include the American publishers of the wizard books.

Representatives for late writer Adrian Jacobs' estate filed papers last year alleging the author approached Rowling's UK publishers Bloomsbury in 1987, ten years before his death, and unsuccessfully attempted to sell them his Willy The Wizard stories.
The lawsuit claims Rowling's 2000 book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, bears a resemblance to segments of Jacobs' novel The Adventures of Willy the Wizard - No 1 Livid Land.
And the case has now been extended to the US - the writer's estate filed another copyright infringement lawsuit on Tuesday in a New York federal court against the book's Stateside publishing house Scholastic Inc.
The trustees are calling for the firm to recall all copies of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and pay Jacobs' estate all profit derived from its sale.
Spokesperson Kyle Good, from Scholastic Inc., says, "We have not been served yet, and we wouldn't comment on pending litigation."
Rowling has previously slammed the initial lawsuit, branding it "absurd".

Appeals Court Strikes Down Indecency Rule

A United States appeals court tossed out the indecency policy of the Federal Communications Commission on Tuesday, calling it a violation of the First Amendment.

An appeals panel said the F.C.C. policy was “unconstitutionally vague, creating a chilling effect that goes far beyond the fleeting expletives at issue here.”

The ruling was immediately characterized as a victory for big broadcasters like ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC, which have been fighting the indecency policy for years.

Tuesday’s ruling vacates a 2004 decision by the Bush administration F.C.C. to step up enforcement of the indecency policy on the broadcast airwaves. Earlier that year, the singer Janet Jackson’s breast was bared during the Super Bowl halftime show on CBS, reigniting a decades-old debate about broadcast standards.

But Tuesday’s ruling deals more specifically with the F.C.C. policy toward so-called fleeting expletives. After several curse words were uttered during awards shows in 2002 and 2003, the F.C.C. concluded that a single use of an expletive “could be actionably indecent,” triggering fines against broadcasters.

Also in 2004, Congress said that the F.C.C. could fine stations up to $325,000 for each instance of indecent speech, substantially raising the penalties for a profanity that was not bleeped.

On Tuesday, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York found that the policy toward fleeting expletives effectively chills speech in part “because broadcasters have no way of knowing what the F.C.C. will find offensive.”

In a statement, Fox Broadcasting said it was extremely pleased by Tuesday’s decision. “We have always felt that the government’s position on fleeting expletives was unconstitutional,” said the company, a unit of the News Corporation. “While we will continue to strive to eliminate expletives from live broadcasts, the inherent challenges broadcasters face with live television, coupled with the human element required for monitoring, must allow for the unfortunate isolated instances where inappropriate language slips through.”

Other major broadcasters echoed Fox’s comments in private, but declined to comment on the record.

“The score for today’s game is First Amendment 1, censorship 0,” Andrew Jay Schwartzman, senior vice president for the nonprofit Media Access Project, said in a statement.

The group was among those that opposed the rules and claimed that they “interfere with the creative process.”

“Today’s decision vindicates that argument,” Mr. Schwartzman’s statement said. “The next stop is the Supreme Court, and we’re confident that the justices will affirm this decision.”

Who is joining the cast of True Blood now?

It's Panthers!!

Werewolves, step aside. As this exclusive photo reveals, a panther has been spotted on the set of HBO's True Blood, and will make her on-screen debut in mid-August.

Could this be a sign that the series is tearing a page from Charlaine Harris' books and transforming fan fave Jason Stackhouse into a werepanther?

While Ryan Kwanten (Jason) confirms to me, "I've been working with the panthers and they're a lot cooler than the wolves," creator Alan Ball only says, "We have shot some scenes with actual panthers in the same way we have shot with actual wolves. But I won't say there are or aren't werepanthers on the show." And if I were to tell you anymore, I'm afraid I might get my eyes clawed out.

Breakout star of 'Transformers 3'- the Milwauke Art Museum's brise soleil

Dozens of spectators lined the perimeter of the Milwaukee Art Museum to catch a glimpse of the filming of "Transformers 3."

Spectators were allowed to stand outside the gated and taped-off areas, including spots in front of the bridge to the art museum, in the alcove on top of the Milwaukee County Parks office, and along the bridge by the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center.

Those who came, some with binoculars, were rewarded with the chance to watch Shia LaBeouf and newcomer Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (replacing Megan Fox as LaBeouf's love interest) film a scene in which the two exit the front doors of the museum, cross the steps and climb into a yellow car with black accents - most likely Bumblebee, a Transformer who befriended LaBeouf's character in the first "Transformers" movie.

Although visibility was minimal - it was a closed set - those who were present were excited to see a film getting made in their home state.

"I think it's a good opportunity just to be able to see any part of it," said Paul Pakulski of West Allis. Pakulski was wearing a shirt with a symbol of the Decepticons, the bad-guy 'bots in the series. His 4-year-old son, Matthew, wore a shirt with the symbol for the Autobots, the good guys.

Director Michael Bay also was seen on the set, in all-white clothing and sneakers. Extras, who were cast a couple of weeks ago, occupied the background scenery. Most of the extras were dressed in black.

"I've never actually been to see any of the actors when they come down here . . . So I'm really excited," said Trina Muniz, 15. Muniz, along with her mother and brother, came from Racine just for the occasion.

"Unreal," Pakulski said while watching LaBeouf and Huntington-Whiteley in action.

"It's my favorite movie," he added.

Filming on "Transformers 3" is expected to continue at the art museum Tuesday. The producers of the movie also have announced plans to shoot at the former Tower Automotive site on the city's north side, but that filming has been pushed back to sometime in August.

Lindsay Lohan Gets Paid Big for Going to Jail

While there are conflicting reports about how much Lindsay Lohan will make for her first post-jail interview, the numbers being discussed still prove she's going to have a huge payday. While she may not be a bankable movie star anymore, media outlets are flooding her with requests to talk to her after she's done in the slammer. PopEater's Rob Shuter previously reported that she was already working to secure a whopping $1 million for her first post-jailhouse chat.

Sources told Page Six, "The irony is Lindsay is in demand. The bidding is over $500,000 for the rights to the pre-jail interview, the prison diary and the first chat when she is released."
"But Lindsay is still convinced she'll get a reduced term -- even if she has to go to rehab afterwards for longer. She has spoken to a number of lawyers over the weekend. She's even seeing a psychic for guidance," the source added.

Lohan is not the first celebrity to turn her troubles into a paid gig. The New York Post reported that Paris Hilton was offered a million dollars for her post-prison interview back in June 2007. After a public outcry, however, several media outlets ultimately decided not to pursue Paris, forcing her to give her interview away to CNN's Larry King for free.

Although Lohan met with lawyer Stuart V. Goldberg after Shawn Chapman Holley resigned as the starlet's counsel, he has declined to take on Lohan's case, PEOPLE reports. Robert Shapiro, who defended OJ Simpson in his murder trial, had initially put in a bid to overturn her 90-day sentence, which is to start July 20.

"My impression of Lindsay is that she's a fragile lost child – a sleeping beauty with her head in the sand. I found her not fully forewarned of the consequence of her actions," Goldberg told PEOPLE. "I'm concerned that she's not disciplined or tethered enough to the reality of adult consequences," he adds. "She doesn't seem to have the awareness of what's going to befall her."

A judge sentenced Lindsay to 90 days in jail and 90 days of rehab after she broke her probation agreement from a 2007 DUI. Lindsay is expected to surrender for her 90-day jail sentence on July 20. PopEater's Rob Shuter reported that Lindsay plans to stay out of jail -- no matter what it takes!!

'True Blood' gets back to business

When we last gathered ‘round the TV to catch up with Bon Temps’ sexy assortment of supernaturals and conflicted mortals, we found ourselves wading waist-deep in the ongoing plot exposition of this season’s too many new characters and storylines.

But last night, we finally got down to business and settled into the “True Blood” we love and ignore our husbands for.

So, after an attempt to gather intelligence on Bill’s whereabouts ended in an angry snarl of leather and hair product, we find Sookie tending to the physical and emotional wounds of Alcide, who continues to pine for his former fiancée – the as-yet-unseen Debbie Pelt. Debbie, as it turns out, has moved on, and is to be betrothed to Operation Werewolfer - and Bill-kidnapper - Coot.

Then Bill calls Sookie to tell her they can no longer be together and, to add insult to injury, that he and Lorena have just made sweet, sweet vampire love. (I feel like every time we hear from Bill he should be accompanied by a "Debbie Downer"-esque sad trombone. Just me? OK, then. Moving on.)

The call is abrupt and cold, and with this being her first breakup, Sookie is understandably devastated. The Ugly Cry commences (been there, girlfriend) and it’s Alcide’s turn to do the consoling. There’s a brief spark of something that Alcide has to go and ruin when the writers of this episode senselessly send him off in search of a shirt.

Meanwhile, back in Bon Temps, Sam continues to make a compelling argument against pursuing genealogy as a hobby. He discovers that not only has his skeevy, long-lost shifter brother Tommy attempted to burgle him, but his skeevy, long-lost parents have set up camp in the Merlotte’s parking lot after being run out of town back home. A heart-to-heart with Tommy later in the episode leads Sam to offer the Mickens clan a place to stay until they’re back on their feet, a decision I suspect he’ll soon come to regret.

As always, Merlotte’s is a beehive of activity. While the entire Bon Temps Police Department celebrates Sheriff Bud Dearborne’s retirement, a gaggle of underage drinkers cheers on the local football hero. Andy Bellefleur is appointed sheriff in Bud’s absence and Jason, determined to join the ranks, guilts Andy into putting him on the fast track to becoming one of Bon Temps’ finest.

Arlene, Merlotte’s sole dependable waitress, already overwhelmed by her new-found baby mamadom (courtesy of deceased nutcake René), has one more reason to worry when Sam hires baby vamp Jessica as a hostess. Apparently redheads score the best tips. Who knew?

And then there’s Tara. Poor troubled Tara. You’d think she’d be cut a little slack after spending most of last season in a bug-eyed trance, but after falling in with shady newcomer vamp Franklin Mott, things aren’t looking so hot.

Franklin glamours Tara into telling him everything she knows about Sookie’s telepathic abilities. While under his spell, Tara calls Sookie in an attempt to pin down her location. Eventually, in what has to be the creepiest date ever, Franklin and a bound Tara speed off into the night toward Jackson where – surprise! – they arrive at the home of Mississippi Vampire King Russell Edgington.

Here’s where things start to get sparky. During a tête-à-tête over cigars and snifters of O+, Bill tells Russell that in exchange for his loyalty, he wants Lorena out of the picture. Permanently. He then confides that Eric is in cahoots with Louisiana’s Queen Sophie-Anne to sell vampire blood. Gleeful over the chance to sic the vampire Magister on his nemesis, Russell takes the gang out for a night on the town and orders Bill to procure dinner for the evening. Cue ominous music.

In short order, Fangtasia is raided by the Magister and his henchmen. The raid yields a cooler full of vampire blood that Pam is (painfully) held accountable for. Eric arrives and backs Pam when she declares that Bill is to blame for the blood. The Magister then promises that Pam will see the business end of his snappy two-in-one scalding/staking device if Eric does not produce Bill within two days.

In Jackson, Sookie decides to stay put until she can confront Bill about their breakup. She convinces Alcide to accompany her to Debbie’s engagement party so she can try and find out more about Bill’s whereabouts and so he can see that he’s better off without Debbie.

When they arrive, the engagement party is in full swing and we finally get to meet Debbie Pelt! Glassy-eyed and reminiscent of the winner of a Tiffany look-a-like contest, Debbie has zero intention of reuniting with Alcide and crowd surfs her way toward her Operation Werewolf betrothal. The ringleader of said ceremony? None other than Russell Edgington. He opens a vein and provides the assembled weres with a round of shots. Things quickly devolve as the group begins to shift en masse and Alcide snarls at Sookie to flee.

You’ll be thrilled and delighted to know that Russell makes it back in plenty of time to enjoy dinner. I don’t know about you, but I was totally bummed out by that ending. You know what they say, when this limo’s a rockin’, there’s a stripper with a fatalistic world view being drained inside.

Until next week, chers. In the meantime, tell me what you thought of last night’s episode!

True Blood star Joe Manganiello makes a home run

Is the presence of Joe Manganiello distracting you from super hot Alexander Skarsgard when watching True Blood? I know before that dishy werewolf arrived in Bon Temps I didn’t have eyes for anyone but Eric.

Manganiello suited up to play at the Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game held at Angel Stadium of Anaheim on Sunday, July 11th, 2010 in Anaheim, California.

Other big names in attendance were Desperate Housewives hunk James Denton, Mad Men star Jon Hamm, The Green Mile star Michael Clarke Duncan, and professional players Ozzie Smith and Mike Piazza.

And a new still of Joe in TRUE BLOOD this season:

Rihanna boob job rumours ‘ridiculous’

Rumours have hit the net that singer Rihanna has had breast enlargement surgery.

In Touch started the rumours, quoting a doctor who had never previously treated the singer: ‘Her breasts are larger and fuller, and the edges of the breast implants are visible.’

The doctor suggests that Rihanna may have gone up a whole cup size – something that could easily be achieved with the right bra.

However, just to be clear, a source close to Rihanna has assured Gossip Cop that the story is ‘ridiculous’.

What Lindsay Lohan can expect in jail

Lindsay Lohan will soon be trading in her designer duds for a stiff cotton Los Angeles County Jail jumpsuit come her three-month sentence, likely to be served at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California.

Legal experts say she'll likely serve between two weeks to a month due to the sheriff's long-standing policy of releasing nonviolent offenders early due to overcrowding, presuming she'll also get time off for good behavior. She is due to surrender to the court and begin her sentence on July 20.
Paris Hilton served 23 days of a 45-day sentence at the same jail for violating her probation in a DUI case and was sprung early for good behavior.

"I was basically in the fetal position, basically in hysterics," Hilton told PEOPLE at the time of her first sleepless nights in jail. As for her fellow inmates, she said, "All of the inmates were very supportive. There were girls next to me. We could talk through the vents and they were just really sweet."

As with all other prisoners, Lohan, 24, will be photographed, fingerprinted and searched upon entry at the facility, which currently holds about 1,800 inmates, all of them female, says L.A. sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.

After being placed in a holding area with other detainees, Lohan will eventually be assigned a 12-by-8 cell that features two bunks (with 4-inch thick foam mattresses covered in green vinyl), a toilet, sink, a stool and a small tabletop. The only glimpse of the outside world is through a narrow six-inch window.

Whitmore said that Lohan would likely be segregated from the general population "for her protection as well as the jail staff."

Most inmates at the Lynwood jail are kept in their cells for 22 hours a day, except for one hour of recreation time and 20 minutes per meal. The free-time hour can be spent watching TV in a common room, playing basketball in a recreation room, making phone calls or taking a hot shower.

Morning wake-up calls are at 5 a.m. through a blaring P.A. system. "Line up for chow! Make your bed! Tuck your shirts in! Hands in your pants! I want my military line with no talking! That's how you start your day at Lynwood," a former inmate tells PEOPLE.

Breakfast is served shortly thereafter and typically consists of two hard-boiled eggs, two pieces of wheat bread and an orange juice carton. Lunch is served around 10:30 a.m. and is often peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, an apple, banana or two cookies with a fruit punch carton.

Served around 5:30 p.m., a typical dinner (the only hot meal of the day) is processed chicken, what inmates have nicknamed "erasers," served with noodles, broccoli, coleslaw and Jell-O for dessert. To drink: milk.

INTERVIEW: Kristin Bauer (Pam) from True Blood

After a week off for the holiday (hey, even vampires need some time off), True Blood returns tonight for what is sure to be some amazing blood-sucking action. The third season has gotten off to an amazing start with the introduction of werewolves, a King, and some vampires with questionable motivations (ahem, Franklin Mott). One of my favorite characters on the show, Pam, is taking on a bigger role this season. The fabulous, sassy, preppy, powerful vampire has had some of my favorite scenes so far. I recently had the chance to speak with Kristin Bauer (who plays Pam), about her character, working very closely with Alexander Skarsgard (her maker Eric Northman), and environmental causes that are very close to her heart.

I think Pam has some of the best scenes in the show, especially when she tried to stop Sookie in the season premiere.
Right?! I am so lucky to have such great words to say.

How do you relate to your character? She’s not human, but there are human elements to Pam.
Definitely, she was human 100 years ago. She was also very eager to leave that world once she saw the option of Eric’s power and immortality and she’s never looked back. That’s one of the things that makes Pam so much fun to play. She is un-remorseful, unapologetic, which are two traits some of us could probably use a touch of. She is, in some ways, who I wish I could be but alas, that directness might leave me very lonely.

What do you think Pam was like in her human life?
I have no idea, and hope to find out! But in my imagination – I see her as having been a true free spirit in a time where it was impossible for a woman to have any freedom of thought of movement. I am obsessed with freewill, it is the basis of all my animal rights work and a hallmark of my beliefs. I believe in freewill, very different than Freedom. Freewill implies choice as opposed to the absence of obstacles. I am pained by the cruelty of taking choice from any living being.

Pam is soft spoken but powerful at the same time. How do you find that balance?
I have often noticed that the most powerful one in the room can be the one who appears to care the least, and is often the most under-spoken. Power is not always loud or trying very hard. I guess power doesn’t have to.

Pam is taking on a bigger role this season, what has the journey been like playing her so far?
FUN! The more I find out about Pam and the more I get to see her do is a joy it is just a bigger and broader journey for me. It’s always been a pleasure from day one and I have also discovered that more of a good thing is awesome.

What has it been like working so closely with Alexander Skarsgard? (Obviously, very…closely)
Yes, very closely, wink, wink, nudge nudge…Alex is a joy to work with. He is my friend and I am so lucky he is also Pam’s maker.

What are Pam’s motivations? (Loyalty to Eric? Power?)
Loyalty is huge for her, and for me in life as well — so I really appreciate that she has been written that way. Power is actually not as alluring to her as integrity. And that motivates me too, it’s fun to find those things where the character and I overlap but I guess that is inevitable as all Pam has is her creators so pieces of all of us and our imaginations will be in her.

Do you have a favorite moment from filming the show?
Too many to name. But having fun with my cast mates is a real perk that makes this such a rare and special experience. We all know what it’s like to have annoying workmates and to have great ones. The latter is better and can make or break one’s experience.

Do you have a character you would like to have more scenes with?
I love it exactly as it is and I don’t want to be too greedy but this entire cast is so fantastic and talented, and so well cast, that I would be happy and lucky to work with any and all.

Have you had any interesting fan reaction to your character? (Perhaps in the gay community?)
I heard after last weeks episode that my friend’s living room of gay men stood up and cheered. I love that! I got a standing O!!! Always happy to hear I did well.

What has it been like working with Alan Ball? He’s quite a prolific producer/creator.
Alan seems to be very aware of the big picture and at the same time the details which is also rare and special. He has assembled an amazing thing here, all out of his vision one day after picking up a book. Many people are being employed and entertained by that vision. I think that is impressive and beautiful. Visions becoming reality is a thrill for me to see and be part of as I think it’s what makes the world go round. Without artistic vision, and the ability to transmute those visions into something others can see…life would be…well, unlivable. He is very impressive and also kind. AND likes dogs!

What do you think sets True Blood apart from other vampire shows out there? Why do you think there was such a positive response to the show?
Well…it’s just better. He He! Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Ive seen Twilight and it was great and these are just very different audiences and tones. True Blood is Alan and HBO’s baby – that combination tells us that we will get to do and see more — get to push the envelope a bit more. Maybe touch on deeper topics, show more reality. Alan and HBO together are just sexier…in my humble completely unbiased opinion of course.

Can you give us a little teaser — I know you can’t spoil too much — of what’s coming up in season 3 for Pam?
Pam is tested this year. Her loyalty, her integrity, her strength…We find out about her and Eric’s relationship, and come to think of it, that is true for so many characters this year. It’s a character defining year for all of us.

You have been appearing more regularly on Secret Life Of The American Teenager. It is difficult to go from one character to another?
No, they are so different. I think its fun for most actors to get to play varied roles.

You have been very active in the efforts to help and raise awareness for the situation in the Gulf Coast (using twitter). Can you talk a little bit about what makes this cause so close to your heart? (It’s truly awful what’s going on down there)
I am so grateful for those who make me aware of things that shouldn’t be that I had no idea of-like in the movie “Blood Diamond” and “Food Inc.” — so I like to share things I hear about with those who feel like I do. I believe that alone we may perish but together we can survive. I suspect that may be our test, how to work together better to save this beautiful home. Abri, my husband, and I work well with IFAW to do just that for Whales and The Elephant Ivory trade in Africa. The Gulf is a horror. And I think it should be a wake up call for us and a time to examine all of our dependence on oil. If you are alive you use and need oil. The soles of my shoes I’m wearing right now, the frames of my glasses, parts of this computer and my couch…but we could be much more conscientious and efficient or we will keep harming others. Plastic bottles are a HUGE unnecessary waste, that if we ever do use, we must recycle. We really don’t need to buy bottled water. You can get a water filter for $150 at Costco or buy this amazing water filter bottle for $40 a year-all the water you can drink! I just saw one on the set. http://www.sovereignearth.com/shop/index.php/27oz-filtration-bottle.html Both will save you thousands of dollars. Use cloth grocery bags! SO easy!!! Those plastic bags are an environmental disease. There is a plastic island in the ocean, twice the size of Texas! If we care…we must care in our actions. Just like in any relationship. The Government won’t save us. We must see this earth as our own backyard and look at our own daily actions — that is my theory and at the least a good place to start. “Be the change you want to see.” Ghandi. And Ghandi seemed pretty hip. I have a blog on my site where I post any finds from a venting about HP to the best sun screen to how to help whales…www.kristinbauer.com

Thank you so much for taking the time. I really appreciate it, and best of luck with the upcoming season!
Thank you for allowing me to share more of my passions!

Marvel Vs. Edward Norton, Round 2

As a response to Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige's statement that Edward Norton was not asked to reprise the role of Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the upcoming Avengers movie (Feige said that the decision was made as a result of "the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members"), Norton's agent, Brian Swardstrom, made an attempt to clarify the behind-the-scenes goings-on from the actor's point-of-view.

"This offensive statement from Kevin Feige at Marvel is a purposefully misleading, inappropriate attempt to paint our client in a negative light," he told Hitfix, the site that broke the story. "Here are the facts: two months ago, Kevin called me and said he wanted Edward to reprise the role of Bruce Banner in 'The Avengers.' He told me it would be his fantasy to bring Edward on stage with the rest of the cast at [Comic-Con] and make it the event of the convention. When I said that Edward was definitely open to this idea, Kevin was very excited and we agreed that Edward should meet with [director] Joss Whedon to discuss the project. Edward and Joss had a very good meeting (confirmed by Feige to me) at which Edward said he was enthusiastic at the prospect of being a part of the ensemble cast.

"Marvel subsequently made him a financial offer to be in the film and both sides started negotiating in good faith," he continued. "This past Wednesday, after several weeks of civil, uncontentious discussions, but before we had come to terms on a deal, a representative from Marvel called to say they had decided to go in another direction with the part. This seemed to us to be a financial decision but, whatever the case, it is completely their prerogative, and we accepted their decision with no hard feelings... We know a lot of fans have voiced their public disappointment with this result, but this is no excuse for Feige's mean spirited, accusatory comments. Counter to what Kevin implies here, Edward was looking forward to the opportunity to work with Joss and the other actors in the Avengers cast, many of whom are personal friends of his. Feige's statement is unprofessional, disingenuous and clearly defamatory. Mr. Norton talent, tireless work ethic and professional integrity deserve more respect, and so do Marvel's fans."

Joe Jonas Gets 'Hot In Cleveland'

As if Betty White hadn’t already put the hot in the title of TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland, the show has just landed Jonas Brother Joe as a guest star.
The popster, whose acting credits include the Disney Channel flick Camp Rock, will appear in an August episode of Cleveland as Valerie Bertinelli’s son. And since the sitcom’s already been renewed for a second season, it’s a safe bet that his first appearance won’t be his last.

FOXNews blames everyone but Lindsay

From FOX NEWS:

The image of a child star in trouble is hardly new. Lindsay Lohan’s story has all the familiar elements: a dysfunctional upbringing, self-destructive patterns and an entourage of seedy characters. In Lindsay’s case the final outcome has yet to be decided unlike the stories of River Phoenix, Dana Plato and more recently Corey Haim.

The Lohan case should prompt a meaningful discussion on how to preempt another loss of a talented but tormented celebrity.

The following are thoughts pertaining to Lindsay Lohan and the culture that enables her:

1. Enablers including family, friends, and the Hollywood industry should be held accountable.
2. Celebrities are not above the law and are increasingly less likely to be excused for ignoring it.
3. Bad company reaps bad character.
4. An industry that encourages former Disney stars toward soft porn and abandons them when in trouble deserves to be scrutinized.
5. Fame carries with it responsibility and should never be an end unto itself.
6. Emotional pain is at its core a cry of the heart.
7. Alcoholics Anonymous has a proven record of success and touts a spiritual awakening as the answer.
8. Healing begins with humility.
9. Transparency opens doors once locked by alibis and rationalizing.
10. History is filled with examples of individuals who parlayed their lowest moments into their greatest victories.

Lindsay Lohan will take her first step toward recovery when she takes full responsibility for her actions but the larger indictment should be levied on an industry and culture that promotes dubious values and then abdicates responsibility when people live out those values. As long as there is a reward for bad behavior there will be those who seek to cash in often with tragic results.

It is no longer acceptable to blame all of this on the “childhood star curse.” As stated in the scriptures, “Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6
